AsurDx™ Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (APP) Real-Time PCR Detection Kit
The AsurDxTM Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (APP) Real-Time PCR detection kit is used to detect Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae in samples such as nasal secretions, lungs, bronchial lymph nodes, and tonsils for auxiliary diagnosis of APP infection.
Feature
- Rapid: Results are obtained within 60 minutes.
- Ready to use: Simply mix the reagents, add to reaction plate, and add samples or controls. No need for extra processing minutes.
- Adaptable: Many kits are able to utilize a variety of tissues from live or dead animals, body fluids, blood, waste products, or even cell culture to obtain nucleic acid for analysis.
- Simple: Results are determined easily by Ct value.
- Flexible: Kits can be analyzed by ABI7500, Agilent MX3000P/3005P, LightCycler, Bio-Rad, Eppendorf, and other series of fluorescent quantitative PCR detection instruments.

About Disease
Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (APP) causes swine pleuropneumonia, a respiratory infection characterized by acute pleuropneumonia in pigs. The pathological features include fibrinous pleuropneumonia and hemorrhagic necrotizing pneumonia. The disease often appears in the most acute form, leading to rapid death in pigs. In its chronic form, it causes slow growth, stunted pigs, reduced feed efficiency, and significant economic losses. Fluorescence PCR technology is widely used for APP detection due to its simplicity, speed, high sensitivity, and specificity.
