About Disease
Avian Influenza (AI) and Newcastle Disease (ND) are acute, highly contagious diseases of domesticated and wild birds caused by viral infections. These diseases can infect poultry either separately or in combination, with high morbidity and mortality rates. Besides birds, avian influenza can also infect humans, pigs, and horses. H5 or H7 subtype AIV causes highly pathogenic avian influenza with a very short incubation period, sudden outbreaks, and a morbidity and mortality rate of up to 100%, making it a primary target for prevention and control.
This kit is used to detect avian influenza virus H5/H7/Newcastle disease virus nucleic acids in swab samples, trachea, lungs, brain, intestines (including contents), liver, spleen, kidneys, heart, and other tissue organs. It is intended for the diagnosis, quarantine, detection, monitoring, and epidemiological investigation of avian influenza virus H5/H7/Newcastle disease virus infections.
