About Disease

Avian influenza is an avian infectious disease caused by the avian influenza virus (AIV), which can infect poultry such as chickens, turkeys, ducks, and quail. The severity of the disease varies, with some cases resulting in acute death and others being asymptomatic carriers. Since 2014, outbreaks of H5 subtype highly pathogenic avian influenza have been occurring seasonally in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Northeast Asia, significantly affecting the poultry industry and human health in these regions.

This kit is suitable for detecting avian influenza virus and H5 subtype avian influenza virus nucleic acids in swab samples, trachea, lungs, brain, intestines (including contents), liver, spleen, kidneys, heart, and other tissues and organs. It is used for diagnosis, quarantine, detection, monitoring, and epidemiological investigation of avian influenza virus infection.
