About Disease

Mycoplasma synoviae (MS) causes synovitis in chickens, an acute or chronic infectious disease primarily affecting the synovial membranes and tendon sheaths of joints, leading to synovitis, tendon sheath inflammation, and swelling of the hock joints and footpads. It can also cause stunted growth, downgraded carcasses, reduced egg production, and is associated with respiratory diseases, resulting in significant economic losses in poultry farming. This kit is used to detect Mycoplasma synoviae in trachea, lungs, air sacs, tracheal swabs, joint fluid samples, and joint surface swabs for auxiliary diagnosis of MS infections.
