About Disease

Classical Swine Fever is caused by the Classical Swine Fever Virus (CSFV) and leads to high fever, widespread bleeding, and reproductive disorders in sows. Porcine Respiratory and Reproductive Syndrome is caused by the Porcine Respiratory and Reproductive Syndrome Virus (PRRSV), characterized by fever, anorexia, and abortion in sows, as well as respiratory symptoms and high mortality in piglets. Foot-and-mouth Disease is an acute, febrile, highly contagious disease caused by the Foot-and-mouth Disease Virus (FMDV). Porcine Circovirus Disease is caused by Porcine Circovirus Type II (PCV-2) and results in an infectious, congenital tremor, and multi-systemic dysfunction in weaned piglets. These four diseases significantly impact the pig industry. Early diagnosis and epidemiological monitoring are crucial for controlling these viral diseases.
