The AsurDx™ Fowlpox virus (FPV) Antibody Test Kit is designed for the detection of chicken antibodies specific to Fowlpox virus (FPV). Fowlpox virus (FPV) is a large, double-stranded DNA virus belonging to the genus Avipoxvirus within the family Poxviridae. It is the causative agent of fowlpox, a contagious viral disease of chickens characterized by cutaneous and/or diphtheritic lesions. FPV is distributed worldwide and is particularly prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions where mosquito vectors are abundant.
