SHIC Grant-Funded BioStone ASF ELISAs Validation Project Progress was Reported by SHIC August Newsletter

DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TX — August 4, 2021 — BioStone Animal Health, collaborating with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA’s) National Centre for Foreign Animal Disease (NCFAD) and Vietnam National University of Agriculture, performs a Swine Health Information Center (SHIC) grant-funded project “Full validation of two commercial ELISA assays for the detection of antibodies to African swine fever”. The mid-term progress report was published and reported by SHIC August Newsletter. The results from more than 1000 Vietnam, US and Canada pig serum samples using the ELISA assays in the study show high test sensitivity and specificity (>98%).
