BioStone Animal Health Launches CL (Caseous Lymphadenitis, Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis) Antibody ELISA Test Kit
DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TX— January 26, 2026 — BioStone Animal Health is pleased to announce the launch of the AsurDx™ Caseous Lymphadenitis (Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis) Antibody ELISA Test Kit, designed for the detection of antibodies specific to Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis in goat and sheep serum or plasma samples.
About AsurDx™ CL Antibody ELISA Test Kit
The AsurDx™ Caseous Lymphadenitis Antibody Test Kit provides a simple, rapid, sensitive, and cost-effective enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for detecting IgG antibodies against Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis in goat and sheep serum or plasma.
The assay is based on a colorimetric ELISA format in which Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis antigen is coated onto microplate wells. Antibodies present in the sample bind to the immobilized antigen and are subsequently detected using an HRP-conjugated antigen system, producing a measurable color signal proportional to antibody concentration.
About Caseous Lymphadenitis (CL)
Caseous lymphadenitis (CL) is a chronic, contagious bacterial disease caused by Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis. The disease is characterized by abscess formation in or near major peripheral lymph nodes (external form) or within internal organs and lymph nodes (internal form). Although both forms can occur in sheep and goats, the external form is more commonly observed in goats, while the internal form is more common in sheep.
Rupture of abscesses can release large numbers of bacteria into the environment, contaminating skin, wool, feed, water, and soil, and facilitating transmission through direct contact or environmental exposure. Early identification of infected animals is critical for herd health management, biosecurity programs, and disease control strategies.
